About Daily Post-It Book Project

I am putting together a coffee-table book of photos from the Daily Post-It group in 2010 - I suggested this here: www.flickr.com/groups/dailypostit/discuss/72157625127685875/

Anyone who is a member of the Daily Post-It group as of today, October 29, 2010, will receive an invite.

How will I select photos for the book? This has two parts: selection and permission.

1. Photos MUST have been posted to the Daily Post-It group in 2010.

2. No photos will be used without the photographer's permission.

2. How photos will be chosen - there are a few different ways:
a. You yourself may add your photos to this group because you like those photos.
b. Others members may suggest photos in the discussion thread which I will open in this group - provided they fit the criteria. I will then invite the photographer to submit the photo to the group. Submission by the photographer themselves will be required and will indicate permission to publish.
c. I will go through the Daily Post it's for the year to make sure a photo from each contributor is invited. I will invite photographers to submit as in item 2.b.
d. At the end of the submission period (see below), I will go through and edit the submissions - more information below.

3. Suggestions and submissions will be open until November 30, 2010.

4. I will also be extending an invitation to submit a few words from photographers. This will not be mandatory, and more information will follow.

5. Will there be categories? Will there be limits to how many photos from each photographer? These are decisions that will have to be made after the close of the submission period.

6. I will put the book together at Blurb.com. When it is ready, I will provide all members with a link, so that they may purchase the book for themselves (at no markup.)
