This group was formed in January 2008.
If you are seeking technical information or advice on how to use the Nikon D80, you have come to the wrong place. Please visit the Nikon DSLR Users -- The Bistro Group or the Nikon D80 Users Group to have your questions answered and to post your photos.
The adding of photos to the Group Pool is limited to only those photos you have submitted to a posted challenge. ALL OTHERS WILL BE DENIED ENTRY
Photo Pool Rules
Members are allowed to add up to TWO images per week to the pool provided they were included in an existing challenge.
The limit exists to discourage people from just adding their photos to the group solely for exposure. There are plenty of other groups for that purpose.
Once you've entered a challenge, then you may add your photo to the pool. Failure to comply with this rule will result in your photo being denied entry to the pool. Repeat offenders may be removed from the group.
Challenge Rules
1. For each NEW challenge, members can post only one NEW image taken with a D80 to the thread. The image has to be taken after the challenge has begun. NO OLD PHOTOS ALLOWED.
2. The EXIF data for the photo must be able to be viewed by the public, this allows Administrators to confirm requirements as well as other users to learn more about how a photo was captured. This is IMPORTANT AND MANDATORY.

3. Each submission must fall within the guidelines of the challenge set forth by the Admins.
4. When adding your submission, be sure to number your submission to allow members to choose your photo when voting. (Example: if the photo above your's is number 5, make sure you place a 6 above your photo when posting).
5. All submissions must be no larger than MEDIUM size and click-able within the thread.
6. Any photo you submit to a challenge MUST be taken by the person submitting it. Do not submit a photo taken by somebody else. The photo must be planned by you and the shutter release must be triggered either by you or a remote using a tripod or while the camera is propped up on something. No submissions taken by another person allowed.
7. A different photo must be entered into each challenge. If two challenges are open at the same time, you can not enter the same photo in both challenges even if they meet the requirements of both challenges.

Challenge Voting
After the submission period has ended the voting will begin within the same thread. The photo with the most votes will be named winner and their photo will be featured on the main group page.
Members who submit an image are required to vote. Voting for your own photo is not allowed. All other members will also be allowed to vote.
Only ONE VOTE per person please.
When voting, please feel free to comment on the photo you have selected. Give advice, thoughts or just a pat on the back. All comments should be civil and non-abrasive. Inappropriate comments will be removed.
Membership Rule
1. To be a member of this group you must have photos in your own photostream for members to view and they must have been taken by you. No trolls or lurkers are wanted here. This group is for photographers. Once you've added some of your photos to your stream that are viewable by our members, then feel free to join. Any members who do not have photos available will be removed without warning.
