About D'Art-ism
What is D'Art-ism?
First of all you pronounce it as "Dart - ism" and call the people who practice this kind of art as d'artists.
The D stands for DIGITAL and this group has been created to promote D'Art and bring it into the mainstream.
Art has many forms and shapes and it's creators use techniques that are relevant to the many disciplines of art. For example; colour theory is relevant to illustrators, painters, sculptors and d'artists amongst others.
For those of you who reject D'Art, do you think you would also have rejected Impressionism when it bagan or Dadaism when it was new? Art evolves with society because it's practicioners are always living in the moment and always tend to use the tools available to them to express themselves or to just be creative.
We d'artists are here to stay and we will not stop until our D'Art is as mainstream as other artforms such as painting and sculpture.
This group is open to all artists who create digital art such as illustration, digital painting, photo-manipulation and video art to name a few. Please be aware that it may contain adult themes and may not be safe for young children or work.
