Welcome to the Civil War Preservation Trust's American Civil War Battlefields group on Flickr. We hope that this group will be a place where you can showcase your best photos of Civil War battlefields throughout the United States.

The Civil War Preservation Trust is the Nation's largest non-profit focused on preserving America's threatened Civil War battlefields. Since our inception we have saved more than 25,000 acres of battlefield ground.

We hope that this group will become a showcase of all that is beautiful, evocative, and memorable about American Civil War battlefields. In some rare cases we will have to exercise our editorial judgment in removing photos from this group.

Photos that we would likely remove:

1. Photos that are not of the American Civil War
2. Photos that are insensitive or off-color
3. Photos with very poor composition or of very low quality
