About Civil War Cannons

One thing that most Civil War battlefield photographers find in abundance on these hallowed landscapes are cannons. Over the years, I've collected dozens of shots of cannons in my landscape photos of battlefields. This group focuses cannons and how you use them in your battlefield photography! Creativity welcomed!!

I don’t think I’ve stressed the topic of this group – so, I will try explaining it a different way.

1.) The photos in the pool must have a cannon in the shot.
2.) The cannon must be on an American Civil War Battlefield, in use at a Civil War reenactment, or located on a Civil War site.
3.) The cannon can be a field marker, a part of a monument, an actual cannon, a mortuary cannon, a firing cannon, or any other type of cannon. Show us your cannons!
4.) If the administrators or moderators can’t find a cannon, we will delete the image. We are not trying to be mean or cruel – it’s just an attempt to keep with the theme of the group!


If you wish to comment on images, and let people know that you saw the image in this group, we have a code for that!!!
