This is the new group for the re-launched photo competition.


How it works
Competition Entries
Each month, we'll start a discussion thread asking for competition entries for that month. You should submit your entries into the thread - you may submit up to 3 images per competition

- submissions should be numbered (#1, #2 or #3)
- submissions should be posted onto the thread as a 'medium' sized image, with a link out to the original larger sized image
- submissions need to be of adequate resolution to print at A3 - suggested minimum of 2000 pixels on the longest side, and 4 megapixels total in size.


Voting for the winner
Towards the end of the month, the submissions thread wll be closed, and a new thread will be started for voting for a fixed period of time.

- Everyone may vote once for the winning image + 2 runners up
- You may not vote for your own image
- Please award 5 points to your favourite picture, 3 points to the runner-up and 1 point to the second runner-up, stating the photographer and the image number with each e.g. :
5 points : JohnSmith image #2 (the car park)
3 points : FredBloggs image #1 (dallas view)
1 point : ANOther, image #2 (gatley sunset)

- Once voting is closed, the votes will be counted and the winner announced.

The Prize
Now comes the fun bit.

The Winner will have a number of A3 poster prints made of their image. These will be displayed around the gatley office for the coming month. At the end of the month, the winner can take the posters home for their own use.

There are a few ground rules:
1. The photos will be displayed as posters around the office, so the content should be appropriate, remember that our customers visit the office as well.

2. This is a competition for good photographs to brighten up the office walls, not for 'the most amusing photo from a site trip' (which we'll discuss elsewhere ;-) ).

3. All submitted images must be your own work.

4. All submitted images must have been taken in the last 3 months, and ideally taken specifically for the competition theme - nothing older than that. E.g. for the March competition, any images taken before Jan will be disqualified.

5. In the case of any problems (e.g. voting problems, or questions over the appropriateness of images), the BPTW champions will take vote and their decision will be final.

Note, while you are limited to a maximum of 3 entries in each competition, there are no limits on the number of images you can send into the group pool.
