About CUPE 3903 on Strike

This group serves as a collection of photographs taken during CUPE 3903's 2008 on-going strike.

CUPE 3903, which represents York University's Contract Faculty, Teaching Assistants, Graduate Assistants & Research Assistants, have been on strike since 12:01 a.m., Thursday, November 6th.

The union is striking for:
-smaller class sizes for undergraduates
-job security for contract faculty
-a wage indexed to inflation
-child and health care funds increased and indexed to growth in the union's membership
-wage increases of 7% and 4% over two years
-a minimum guarantee of funding that brings all members to the poverty line in Ontario
-a two-year contract
