About SL Cult of Ruth Eternal
This group is to take photos of and foster the recognition of a Second Life religion based on the icons, imagery and semiotics already present in the history of SL creation, management and residents. There is an SL group of the same name, feel free to join if you wish to support the development of this religion revering the Gods and Goddesses of SL. We need blogs and photos with myths and stories about these deities for a new age and a new world. Seeking creative minds of all types to help build this religion and to create the Cosmology of the Grid.
Primary Deities:
Ruth is our All Mother, she is in all of us and we receive her devoted attention regularly. Find the Ruth within you.
Uncle Phil is the creator, the choas the void from who's loins the world and the Goddess Ruth have spung. An effigy of his pants is the shrine of Ruth and in smaller version makes a great altar.
Cory/Flying Spaggetti monster is The Word, and the word/LSL has spread to all corners of the SL world and with it you will animate all things.
Secondary Dieties:
There is a lessor pantheon of Lindens represented by their effigy bears , which you can request from them for you home altars.
Other elements and Deities:
So far there are other miscelaneous dieties that i have uncovered and i am sure there are more i am not yet familiar with
The First One (a purple orb the first avatar)
Primitar ( the first humanoid avatar)
Lag ( one of the trickster gods that can cause all sorts of problems and is often seen leading the way to Ruth)
Rolling Restart (always sends an warning of the inpeding interuption of you fun to improve grid performace)
