About Crusaders Stadium Working Group

The Crusaders Stadium Working Group was set up at the Crusaders FC EGM of 26 September 2007, with a remit to consider all options - including the sale of our current ground at Seaview, Shore Road, Belfast - to provide a new Stadium with upgraded club & training infrastructure and viable income streams.
Made up of club Treasurer, Robert White, Tom Whiteside, Mark Langhammer - with supporters reps, Paul Murray and Jenny Boyd, and advised by David Carson - the Stasdium Group have sought to undertake a range of Stadium visits in England, Scotland, Republic of Ireland, France, Poland, Holland and the Czech Republic in search of models of good stadium design and business practice.

Together with top Amateur League side, Newington YC, Crusaders have secured support from Belfast City Council in May 2009 for the development of a shared community stadium and Sports Village on 26 acres of land at Giants Park (North Foreshore), Belfast.

Subject to finance and planning permission, it is hoped that the new Stadium and Complex will be open by 2014.
