About UCLA Critical Planning Journal
CALL FOR PHOTOS
Hello Everyone,
The Critical Planning Journal was established in 1993 to serve as a forum for the urban planning community to present current research interests, debate important issues, and share ideas about the field of urban planning.
In the past, we've matched the first page of each article/book review/etc with a corresponding, full page black and white photo on the opposite page. We'll also need a provacative black and white cover photo that deals in some way with spatial justice. Just so you can start thinking about things, here are a list of themes that we'll be addressing in this
issue:
-homelessness
-mixed-income housing, mixed-income neighborhoods
-public participation and planning
-public health activism
-reclaiming public space
-gentrification
-water rights
-Nigeria, Lagos
-educational disparities
-policing of public space
-Tsunami
-Katrina
-Japanese Americans in CA
-Palos Verdes
The deadline for submitting photos is March 16th.
For those of you interested in submitting simply tag your photos with the appropriate tag from one of the above subject areas and add them to this group. Thanks.
