About Crispy Sharp Shots
This group was born from my own all consuming obsession with achieving crisp, sharp shots. It is intended to showcase and discuss examples of excellence in portrait photography and also to share ideas on how others can get said clarity and crispiness or indeed achieve mastery over other technical areas in their photographs. Discussion of the relevance of shutter speed, aperture and other technical factors will therefore feature in the discussion threads. Achieving clarity in portrait photography is a goal many photographers share.
Obviously, focusing only on clarity and sharpness will be somewhat limiting so there will also be topics covering other areas of portrait photography such as bokeh, studio photography, converting to black and white (or whatever) and more. Please feel free to mail me with areas you feel are ones you would like to learn more about as part of a group. i will start a discussion thread for this.
Hopefully we can all learn something here that will enable us to ensure a greater chance of capturing that oh so satisfying crispness we all desire in our images or getting that amazing bokeh, or the perfect conversion...
There will be monthly contests whereby members will vote for their favourite technically terrific photos!!
See you around!!
ps If we could limit posts of photos and discussion threads that would be cool. That way, individuals dont get swamped out. It's so hard to keep up sometimes. So if you have posted allow some time for this to be digested by all members before posting again. Feel free to post as often or as much as you like WITHIN each thread!!
pps it may be necessary to incluce original or large sizes of photos which are entered in contests to make it easier for people to really see how well you did with your image! i will work on how we can do that without too much hassle!
