- Any transportation development in any community of HRM must fall within a larger urban transportation plan.
- Any new transportation development needs to be based on sound and progressive environment principles.

Railway Cut Initiative

CREST’s Position
Objective
To ensure that before any decisions are made for the railway cut that there will be a full review of its usage and how best to utilize this resource.

Key Messages
- There are feasible alternatives to paving the rail cut that could service the Port and not impact communities that need to be assessed before a decisions rendered.
- A full review of possible uses for the railway cut needs to be conducted before one alternative is considered.
