That tessellation is not by Palle Frost, it is by some Mexican guy by the name José Ángel Canales

The design, or the actual folded paper is by Jose Canales?
I know he didn't create the thing; I was just saying I thought it was well folded, and used good paper.

The article says it is an original model by José Ángel Canales. I agree nice paper and kind of original design

Yes the whork is form Jose Angel Canales and like this tessellations he has a lot of other of his own inventions. He is working also into "poligonal" folds like Chris Palmer containers. He hasn't neither facebook nor blog... I knew him through a friend of mine in Mexico City, and had the opportunity to talk with him by skype connection when he visited my friend... a great person with a wonderful portfolio of works.
