29 Jul 07 - Corporations are taking over the world. The economic might of General Motors surpasses the GNP of four to five mid-size nations. Politicians and public authorities worldwide, when honest, often lack the power to enforce existing law and regulations, much less can they enact new ones that may erode Corporations prerogatives. When dishonest - the norm - politicians are quite happy to grant Corporations whatever they may wish. We are becoming consumers and less citizens and in the end we loose.
