This group is intended to be educational in nature and allow you to identify which snakes are venomous and which are a non-venomous mimic. Another purpose of the group is to showcase the vivid beauty of these colorful animals.Please limit to photo submissions limited to coral snakes and mimics with similar red, black and yelllow (or white banding) ONLY. Non-related photos may be removed from the group as necessary.

About Coral Snakes & Similar Non-venomous SnakesThis group is dedicated to photos and videos of venomous Coral Snakes and non-venomous snakes with similar coloration. The Coral Snake is best know for its vivid banding of red, yellow and black stripes. However, don't be fooled. Some non-venomous snakes, such as the scarlet snake and scarlet kingsnake, have also have red, yellow and black bands, but in a different order. |
