About Copycat
Is imitation the sincerest form of flattery? Come and flatter your favorite images here, by copying them. Set up a shot just like that one you loved on the flickr blog. See if you can imitate another photographer's distinctive style. Create an homage to a famous historic photo. Follow, don't lead!
What belongs here: original photographs that deliberately resemble someone else's image or style, without actually sampling the original.
What doesn't belong here: mechanical reproduction of someone else's work, like a photo of a photo. Photos that resemble others by coincidence. Anything which is not recognizably connected to its inspiration.
Posting guidelines:
Every photo you post here should link to its inspiration with a text or thumbnail link. The inspiration should be an image, not, for example, a poem.
keywords: copy, homage, pastiche, imitation, inspiration, reproduction, duplication, imitate, reproduce, duplicate
Throw off the shackles of originality!
