About Cooke Triplet Lens

For images taken with cameras that use the Cooke Triplet lens design. This was the first lens formula that eliminated most of the optical distortion or aberration at the outer edge of lenses. In particular, the Cooke triplet is the simplest design that is capable of correcting all seven basic or primary aberrations (first-order longitudinal and lateral colour, and the five monochromatic Seidel aberrations) over a wide field of view.

Because of its excellent corrective characteristics and economy of design, the Cooke triplet can be found in the vast majority of cameras which contain three element lenses.

All images are welcome, both film and digital, taken with any size sensor or film format, as long as the optic used has the same formula as the Cooke Triplet - a negative flint glass element in the centre with a crown glass element on each side.

Photos submitted to the group pool must mention which lens was used or they will be excluded from the pool.
