About Contacting Toronto: We're in this Together
Images in this group will be screened on over 300 Pattison Onestop TTC subway platform screens, with a different photo playing once every 5 minutes all day throughout the month of May, 2012 for CONTACT Photography Festival.
We are looking for images that explore Toronto in the following ways:
- the different communities that define Toronto
- how personal relationships help make the city more livable
- current political and economic realities
- geographical boundaries
- ecological uncertainties
Contacting Toronto is curated by Sharon Switzer, co-produced by Pattison Onestop and Art for Commuters, and is an official public installation of Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival. It is a two-part exhibition featuring this public call for flickr images on the digital subway platform screens, and photographs from six pre-selected photographers on subway platform posters. The exhibition is supported by the Ontario Arts Council.
'We’re in this Together' allows every Torontonian to add their own voice to this public discussion about our city, during CONTACT.
