About *Connect*
Welcome to the Connect Group!
Time to play a game with your photos.
Post a photo that has a visual connection to the one before it. The connection can be color, composition, setting, shapes, subject, depth of field, etc., but it should be visual. In other words, anyone should be able to see what the connection is just by looking at the two photos side-by-side.
Additional connection games are often played on the discussion board.
Rules
1) IMPORTANT: make sure to add a comment on your photo. The comment must include:
· an explanation of how it connects to the preceding photo
· a link back to Connect!
If you wish, you can copy & use this code:
Connected (in the <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/connect-ion/">Connect</a> group): insert your explanation
It will look like this after you post the comment:
Connected (in the Connect group): fish connects to water
2) If there is no such comment on a photo, group members should ask the poster to provide one.
3) If there is no comment and it looks like there is no connection, the picture will be deleted.
4) If you see an obviously unconnected photo, just skip it and connect to the photo before it. The spam will be deleted when an admin sees it. (We will also delete anything connected to it).
5) NO PORTRAITS as this limits the type of connections one can make.
A portrait is defined as anything where the main subject is the face, or face & body, of one or more human(s) or animal(s); and where the face/body fills most of the frame and isn't really doing much (sleeping, looking into the camera, striking a pose, sticking out tongue, etc...).
6) Please don't post two in a row. Let others interact.
7) Don't be selfish. Remove your photo when it languishes in the pool for a number of days or it will be deleted by admin.
8) Have fun :)
So, welcome, enjoy, and invite your contacts!
