About Concrete Architecture [Please read the rules]
This group is about DECORATIVE CONCRETE ARCHITECTURE of any century.
Hello and welcome to the Concrete Architecture pool!
This group is dedicated to concrete architecture, especially structural concrete architecture.
Please note - the architectural work should have something significant to do with concrete construction. Many, if not most, buildings use concrete, and this pool doesn't aim to duplicate the many 'Architecture' groups.
So, please, don't post pictures just because there is some piece of concrete in it. For instance, highway overpasses are often visually pleasing, but they seldom hold much architectural value (so don't be surprised if very few of those make it to the pool :))
Also, please note:
- Architecture from any era
- Decorative concrete volumes and structures
- The subject of the image must clearly be the concrete building, not its surroundings
- NO city skylines
- If you have information about the architect, then by all means add it, it's informative!
- The pool is moderated, i.e., submissions are queued first for review. If images don't meet the (simple) criteria above, they will be removed, and their posters may be suspended, without warning. [MODERATION IS TEMPORARILY DISABLED]
- In order to give everyone a chance to be seen by fellow members, we'll limit the number of images added to the pool at three per week. (That limit may be lowered or raised depending on feedback and need, though.)
There are no enforced commenting rules - which are unenforceable anyway :) - but a pool is only as worthy as its dialogues, so don't just post, but look at others' images as well!
