About concrete canvas
Concrete is grey, concrete has texture, concrete reflects it's environment, this pool is about flat pieces of solid concrete ONLY, that have either strange coloured light cast across them or shadows or both, usually walls but any concrete so long as it is solid, see some of the fine examples already posted before posting please.
This group is about two things.
One this group is about FLAT two dimensional pieces of concrete that are abstract and are like a canvas, so buildings (as a whole) headstones garden ornaments, samples of pure graffitti, will all be removed, besides there's a couple of groups for that stuff anyway. Other objects in the image must be incidental and extremely minimal, this pool is about concrete and concrete only.
Secondly it's about the Camera's ability to precisely record information presented to us, but present it back in strange and beautiful ways.
In an effort to help people decide what to shoot I've added this from a comment left elswhere.
"I just don't want to see any whole buildings or structures, with shadows and things cast on them I want the textures and colours of concrete itself only "
So when you spot that wall at sunset or sunrise and it has little more than texture and some light bouncing back off it, grab your camera and make an image of it.
