About Compression Obsession
Hai. This is my first group on Flickr. It very well may be my last. I'm making this because I think the compression effect of telephoto lenses are wicked, and I couldn't find a group dedicated to this effect.
Not much restrictions. Post photos that showcase heavy compression. That means you are:
1. Using a telephoto lens
2. Shooting a nearby primary subject
3. Have a secondary subject in the background, which, due to compression of the telephoto lens, appears to be looming just behind the primary subject
The compressed background need not be out of focus. This is not a bokeh group, although heavily compressed OOF backgrounds do create interesting effects––such photos are quite welcome.
