Constructive criticism is criticism kindly meant that has a goal of improving our future pictures. I meant it as a goal in this group that we all learn from each other. Hopefully the discussion in this group supports the learning process.

About Compliment Sandwiches

Please give a sandwich when you receive one.

A compliment sandwich is made up of three parts...
1)a compliment
2)an honest and straightforward critique
3)another compliment

Feel free to post photos to the pool for others to critique! When you post a shot please critique a photo from the pool or invite a new member to the group using the code below.

I find that this is the best way to comment a picture, because it not only leaves a photographer feeling good about their artwork, but also it allows for us to learn from each other, and to grow as artists.

Here is an example of a sandwich:
I hate you (yes that is positive!! in my world at least! he knows how much I hate him and that is a quality critique right K?? hahaha) I do really like the colors here . . . . Okay let see . . .(see that was the mayo) there isn't a lot to critique here . . (that was the lettuce) . . I wish the house and shore were a little brighter maybe bump up the fill light just a hair . . .(turkey) . . . . =) . . .(that is the cheese) I love the angle that you caught this at, and the birds are awesome!! You know that I am frame crazy so I love it . . . (sorry imageining I am a frame nut!! hahahahaha it is like the lipstick of the picture . . . not finished without it) Great work!!
