About Compact Super Macro

Super-macro photos taken with compact (non-SLR) cameras. The reaction aimed for should be "wow - was that taken with a compact?". Visible hairs on insects and compound eyes are a good start. Shots of flower stamens rather than whole flowers are where shots should be at.

Invite script:

Please add this photo to <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/compactsupermacro/">Compact Super Macro</a>.

Rules:

- Absolutely no shots taken with SLRs allowed. If it is not obvious what camera was used, the shot will be denied.
- A shot of an insect must be close to filling the frame - there should be little or no empty space around it.
- A shot of a flower must show only a tiny detail of the flower, not the whole flower. A flower shot must be really good to make it into the pool.
- Similar shots will be rejected

Guidelines:

- Insect headshots are preferred
- If you can make out a compound eye, that's good
- Visible hairs are good
