About CommentMe: Where the comment matters more than the photo

This is a group similar to ScoreMe but with everything we think ScoreMe should have but hasn't. It's more focused in critique, in the pros and cons in each image, than in scoring. It is invite only to avoid as much as possible all the work involved in making people follow the rules. And it has somewhat different scoring rules. Speaking of which:

RULES:

1 - You may add only one photo at the time and then you must score and comment the 7 photos immediately older in the pool than yours (to know which photos are older, see the note below). Please take your time and be as detailed (at least 5-6 sentences, Pros and Cons) as possible. Proper scoring and commenting isn't something to be done in a haste. You may comment the 7 photos one after the other, but you may as well comment them over a longer period, up to 2-3 days. If you go for the extended period, though, please drop a quick note on the photos you'll comment later saying something like "I'll comment this photo in a few hours". That way we'll all know that you didn't just forget. And do not post telegraphic comments: those will be regarded as no comments at all. The same is to say: be constructive.

2 - Score from 0 to 10, 10 being the highest score.

3 - Wait until at least 7 photos by others were added to the pool before adding another one of yours.

4 - Once you got your 7 scores, ditch the highest and the lowest and add the remaining ones. That will be your photo's score with a possible maximum of 50. We hope you got a lot of information from the comments in the meanwhile. And the reason why we kept the score in this group is because we like the idea of setting up sub-pools through tagging.

5 - Never-ever revenge-vote. You may be banned from the group if you do.

6 - Don't be rude or obnoxious and don't harass other members. That behaviour can also result in banning.

7 - Do not delete comments unless it's obvious that they have breached the rules AND you have informed the moderators and the commentator of your intention to delete beforehand, allowing enough time to chek out the situation.

8 - Use the following template in your score, which will help us finding what's relevant for this group:

After all was said, I score this image with a <b>_/10</b> in the <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/51407896@N00/">CommentMe</a> group.

9 - The preferred language of the group is english. However, if you feel more comfortable in another language that both you and the person being commented are able to understand, feel free to use it.

10 - Avoid posting the same image to this and other scoring groups simultaneously. That only generates confusion. But feel free to submit to CommentMe images scored before in other groups, or submit to other groups images commented before in CommentMe.

11 - Please don't remove a picture when the scores are still running - mixes up the admins and the voting. :)

12 - After the 7 comments are in and you calculated your final score, please add the adecuate tag to your photo. To know which tag to add, check the following list:

Score: 50; Tag: CommentMePerfect
Score: 45-49.999; Tag: CommentMeGreat
Score: 40-44.999; Tag: CommentMeVeryGood
Score: 35-39.999; Tag: CommentMeHigh30s
Score: 30-34.999; Tag: CommentMeLow30s
Score: 25-29.999; Tag: CommentMeHigh20s
Score: 20-24.999; Tag: CommentMeLow20s
Score: 0-19.999; Tag: CommentMeImprovable

Note: how do you know which photos are older? In case you're in the static group pages, either the main page or the pool page, that means the photos to the right of yours (or to the right and below, in case you're in the pool page). If, however, you are browsing the group's photos in those Flickr flash rollers with the thumbnails, then it's the photos to the left of yours. I know, confusing. But that's Flickr's fault for not being consistent, not ours...
