Counselor: "What makes you laugh?"
Cartman:"You know, the normal stuff, farts, swear words, watching people die."
Let's face it, other peoples pain is funny. The Germans call it Schadenfreude. Of course they'd have a word for it.
This is a group for laughing at the pain of others, for slapstick violence, for the school of comedy where blood is liquid ha-ha.
More blood means more funny.
Just look at Penn and Teller, or Rob Zombies movies.
Its for the uncomfortable laugh, the so freaky, so creepy, you don't know what to do but laugh.
It's for big goofy monsters, pun chucking serial killers (I'm looking at you, Freddy), and truly black comedies (and I don't mean the Dave Chappelle show).
