About This group is intended to establish and promote an online photography community where unknown photographers may be EXPOSED to others who share the same passion and interest for art, photography and community. There are no membership requirements for Exposure.Columbia and although involvement in the Columbia, SC area in some form is recommended, an interest in the photography of the group or group members is sufficient. Everyone from amateurs to working professional photographers are welcome to collaborate and contribute. Throughout the operation of the group, given adequate support and participation, we may eventually organize events ranging from workshops and photography outings to gallery showings and trips. Participation in such events is not mandatory for membership; however, it is recommended in order for the group to accomplish its primary goal of creating a sustainable photography community in Columbia with technical and networking benefits as results for its members. Mission Statement Exposure.Columbia is an organic, progressive group existing for the benefit of our members and the common communities in which we are all linked. Through nonspecific group involvement both through the internet and in person, we will accelerate our own knowledge of photography while developing friendships/partnerships and establishing an authentic network of local resources. Although contests and debates may arise as parts of the Exposure culture, Exposure.Columbia is a non-competitive group and the focus is to remain on the organic progression of the individual and the whole. Group Rules Nothing huge here, just common sense. 1) Do not harass other members of the group, keep discussions civil. 2) Please refrain from posting blatant pornography to the group photo pool, these images will be removed.. 3) Photos added to group discussions must be of "medium" or "small" size. 4) Members may only add up to 5 photos per day to group photo pool. This does not apply to group discussions. Unless otherwise stated or notified your photo is not required to be present in the pool in order to participate in a group discussion. 5) If you choose to post your photos in the group please be kind and comment on or favorite other members photos. 6) If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me --------------------------------------------------------------  More information to come soon including an FAQ and group Charter. Also, for now, the photo limit is currently 5 photos per member per day. This is subject to change. |
