About COLOUR STREET PORTRAITS

Few subjects in photography are more interesting than the human face. Each person differs
from the others. To capture his or her mood and expression in a certain moment is a passionate
task for the photographer. Portraits made in the street or in public places show a spontaneity
which makes them different from those taken in a studio or in a private setting, where the person
poses and everything can be arranged with time. While black and white photos are often more
artistic, colour portraits are more real.

This Group is dedicated to quality colour portraits of people in the street.

Quality means that the photos must have a good resolution, be sharp, show a correct brightness
and saturation of colours, and be adequately composed.

Colour means that black and white photos are excluded, despite being very common
in street photography. Photos in sepia are equally excluded.

Portrait means that the person or persons are the most important part of the photo. Their size
must be in accordance with it and their face or faces must clearly be seen.

Street means that the portraits must be taken spontaneously in the street or in a public urban
space, not in a studio or in a private setting, and without posing. Related persons should be
portrayed only if they appear naturally, as any other person in the street.

ESPAÑOL

Pocos temas en fotografía son más interesantes que el rostro humano. Cada persona difiere
de las demás. Captar su estado de ánimo y su expresión en un momento determinado es una
labor apasionante para el fotógrafo o la fotógrafa. Los retratos hechos en la calle o en lugares
públicos muestran una espontaneidad que los diferencia de aquellos realizados en un estudio
o en un entorno privado, donde la persona posa y todo puede prepararse con tiempo. Mientras
que las fotos en blanco y negro son frecuentemente más artísticas, los retratos de color son
más reales.

Este Grupo está dedicado a retratos de calidad en color de personas en la calle.

Calidad significa que las fotos deben tener una buena resolución, ser nítidas, mostrar un brillo
y una saturación de colores correctos, y estar bien encuadradas.

Color significa que las imágenes en blanco y negro quedan excluidas, a pesar de ser muy
comunes en la fotografía de calle. Las fotos en sepia quedan igualmente excluidas.

Retrato significa que la persona o las personas constituyen la parte más importante de la foto.
Su tamaño debe ser en consecuencia y la cara o las caras deben verse con claridad.

Calle significa que los retratos deben estar realizados espontáneamente en la calle o en un
lugar público urbano, no en un estudio o en un entorno privado, y sin posar. En caso de
fotografiarse a personas relacionadas con el fotógrafo, éstas deben aparecer de forma natural,
como cualquier otra persona en la calle.
