ABOUT OUR CONTESTS


Daily Theme Contests (ON HOLD)

In our Daily Theme Contests, a new theme opens for entries each day. Entries are accepted for seven (7) days, then voting begins. Voting is open for four (4) days, then our Medalists are announced. The GOLD Medalist from each Daily Theme Contest is given the opportunity to name a theme for an upcoming Daily Theme Contest.

Daily Theme Contest GOLD Medalists will be entered in our DTC GOLD Medalist Monthly Showdown at the end of each month.

Daily Theme Contest SILVER and BRONZE Medalists will be entered into our SILVER Medalists Monthly Showdown and BRONZE Medalists Monthly Showdown contests, respectively, at the end of each month. ( DISCONTINUED )

The GOLD Medalists from our Daily Theme Contest GOLD Medalist Monthly Showdown, SILVER Medalists Monthly Showdown and BRONZE Medalists Monthly Showdown contests will be entered in our Photo of the Year contest at the end of the year.(DISCONTINUED)



Weekly Theme Contests

In our Weekly Theme Contests, a new theme is opened each week. Each contest is open for entries for 7 days followed by 4 days of voting. The GOLD Medalist from each week's contest will be entered in our Photo of the Year contest at the end of the year. ( PHOTO OF THE YEAR CONTEST DISCONTINUED)

Photography first, subject second is the motto behind our Weekly Theme Contests. The emphasis will be on photographic technique and execution and artistic creativity.



Perpetual Contests

In our "Perpetual" contests, the themes remain constant and the entries change with each round. Each round is open for entries for one week. Voting is open for four days, then the Medalists are announced and a new round is opened for entries(According to the new 2010 scedule).
