About Collective Narrative

Exploring and having fun with narrative-making, using text and photos.

For example, I might post a photo with some text saying "It was a cold and misty morning" And you will follow with a photo and some text saying "I'd decided to walk to work, and was enjoying my new neighbourhood."

That kind of thing.

It's an experimental group based on the intriguing idea that Flickr is potentially a 'network of minds' where we can interact using text and image, within creative projects.

Photo + words = a 'cinematic' or 'comic book' effect which can be fun, working with the unexpected input from other people. We all have an internal 'narrative building' process, and this kind of interaction takes it a stage further - so instead of being one corridoor leading to a doorway, you suddenly have a corridoor full of doors and don't know which one's going to open and whats behind it.

I'll work this out...still putting the 'structure' of the group together, which could mean, for example, no one analyses or comments on a story while it's in process.
