Level Walkers are C & O Canal Association members who are assigned one or more sections of the C & O Canal National Historic Park to walk on a regular basis.
Level Walkers become experts on their level. Duties include checking facilities and historical structures, removing trash, monitoring changes to the level over time, ensuring the towpath is clear, monitoring canal use, and reporting any problems to the NPS. This is a wonderful way to enjoy the canal while helping to maintain it.
This group is used to share photographs of the canal levels and activity related to level walking and C & O Canal Association volunteer projects on the canal.
