22 Dec 11 - Howdy folks and welcome to the group. When posting pictures of shells and other marine organisms, it would be helpful if you tag them with the such data as you have: names scientific and common, locality and size data etc... And if you post pictures of locations or people or things other than mollusks, please tag the shots with that information as well.

The Conchologists of America, despite the name, is a group with an international membership. All are welcome.

About Conchologists of America and Conch-L

A group for members and fans of the Conchologists of America and Conch-L mailing list to share photographs and information about shells, shelling and matters molluscan. And maybe a chance to put a face on the far-flung friends we know from their writings.

Show us your travels and treasures. Show us photographs that make clear the taxonomic characters that help identify the species. Heck show us your cat, if said cat is a shell fan. We want to see your favorite shelling pail, that sailor's valentine you've been hunched over for fourteen months and a picture of that scallop mousse you're always bragging about.
