21 Apr 07 - Now that Co-Worker has gone, I suppose that we could widen this group to include pictures of where she once stood, pictures of Ettrick Bay in general and, of course, picture of pictures of the Co-Worker, collages, pictures of her in her prime, and old pictures that you thought weren't good enough to post, but which are now all that you will ever have.
What say you all?

About Ettrick Bay and the Co-WorkerIt may quite possibly have been the most photographed wreck on the internet, and it certainly deserves its own group. Now, however, the Co-Worker has gone, and Ettrick Bay has lost its star attraction (after the tea-room). Argyll and Bute District Council had no alternative but to remove it after it was broken up in the January 2007 storms, leaving it in a very unsafe condition. The Co-Worker had - strangely - become a tourist attraction in its own right and a mecca for artists and photographers from all over the world. People came down to Bute just to see it - to draw it, to photograph it, or just to gaze at it and wonder how on earth the abandoned wreck of a fishing boat could possibly become such a draw! Let's remember her as she was and mourn her passing. |
