Challenge: I'll Eat That! (Winners Announced!)

view profile

OldUncleMe is a group administrator OldUncleMe  Pro User  says:

I'm always hungry. So I cook, go out to eat, think about food, and of course, photograph food all the time. I see lots of food photos in the pool ranging from quick snaps of cakes and candies up to professional level compositions.

Please post 1 photo in MEDIUM size to this thread that shows a small object or part of an object (Food) that is something you would eat -- it needs to be magnified enough to have a really good view of the surface details. As a general rule, the camera frame must be entirely filled with a subject area no more than 2" (51mm) across! (A good macro photo is interesting, well composed and shows control of lighting.)

Photos must:
- be posted in the pool (C&C Macro Photography)
- be tagged with "I'll.Eat.That"
- be added to this thread to be in the theme
- be at least 1:2 or larger macro (this IS a macro group!)
- be in focus on the interesting part
- be not cropped so much that your pixels are showing.

The Challenge starts NOW. Photos may be new or old, as long as they're good ones, haha. Challenges are fun, so have a great time. In a challenge, if enough people enter then winners will be selected by popular vote!

The 3 winners of the Challenge will be posted on our blog and announced here.

Phnom Penh Soup

Read this:
This is a great food shot, but it is NOT a macro photograph.
It is here to illustrate this point:
all photos in this thread and in the pool must be macro photos!!

Winners will be posted here and in the C&CMacroPhotoBlog.

Best Wishes from all the staff here at C&MP!

Haryth: please be sure you have a macro shot there, and also please read how to post in MEDIUM size (it's all up at the top of the page) Great shots!

BoldPuppy, wow, hope you won't have to wait another year to be near food with a camera!

The link was, as Kinekt pointed out, to information about posting photos in a thread. Thanks for all the great entries so far.

One of the harder parts of shooting food is making it look like something you really would want to eat. That is one of the goals of this Challenge! I think we could try the opposite another time; that would be lots of fun, haha. /..

I finally got a chance to do a food "almost" macro...
Little cake

I'm not sure at all that going to true macro levels would make a brownie look appealing...
