Hehe it's the interior part that everybody hates. You should have made it two separate contests.

Yeah, minifig scale interior building and microfig building are so different, it's hard to change gears between them.

I thought that we weren't allowed to use pre-existing interiors for this contest. Is that true?

I made that interior for this contest, after I made the fleet entry.

Dangit, I was hoping this would allow me to use a pre-exisiting interior, since I don't want to build a new one. I was just confused because the folder you linked is labled as the interior of the vendetta, not the blackwater.

That's because it is the Vendetta interior. Confused? I built the Vendetta as a Minifig version of the Blackwater, but I don't have anywhere near enough black to pull it off. It has a totally different look on the exterior, but it is the same shape, configuration, and class of gunship. Consider the interiors to be interchangable! If this is an illegal move, I'll pull my entry.

EDIT: So with a bit of winking, I apparently managed to finish an entry to the contest after all:
Group: www.flickr.com/photos/76546259@N00/408856556/
Flagship: www.flickr.com/photos/76546259@N00/408856559/in/photostream/
Bording Craft: www.flickr.com/photos/76546259@N00/408856563/in/photostream/

Gunship: www.flickr.com/photos/76546259@N00/408856565/in/photostream/
Anyways, working on a 3x scale copy of the flagship's engine section, pretty entertaining actually.
EDIT: Just finished an interiour: www.flickr.com/photos/76546259@N00/409760790/

Nice fleet Neils! And hey, if you finish the interior by monday or early Tuesday, you can still be fully considered.

Really neat stuff, guys. Good luck! And thanks to you Nightowl for hosting this! Had I had some more time I would've entered, but alas - studies first. It's an interesting contest idea.

Thanks Nightowl! This was definately a challenging contest. I'm not the biggest fan of microscale and generally don't build in it, but you inspired me to give it a go. Congrats to all the winners!

They say 90% of succes is showing up, I guess that was enough to win a prize in this contest ;-)
I was wondering if the rest of you guys would be interested in making and sharing mlcad-files of the crafts? That way we could all compose cool battlescenes like Stef's HW mods - and at this scale and piececount, it shouldn't even be that difficult...
Anyways, congrats to the (real) winners ;-)

I just got home now and there it was...
but man, that's expensive! I guess it pays off to ally oneself with the dark side: www.usps.com/starwars/uspsjedimaster.htm
Anyways, thanks Mark, there's definitly some really nice stuff in there, can't imagine why you ditched it...

And I'd like to add, that coming home really tired and sad after a week of being stretched way too thin and accidentally crushing a 1x1 bracket in old grey...
Recieving that package really cheered me up. Thanks a lot for that too!
