About CIVR2008

The International Conference on Image and Video Retrieval (CIVR) series of conferences was originally set up to illuminate the state of the art in image and video retrieval between researchers and practitioners throughout the world. This conference aims to provide an international forum for the discussion of challenges in the fields of image and video retrieval. CIVR2008 is seeking original high quality submissions addressing innovative research in the broad field of image and video retrieval.

This year the conference was held in the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel, Niagara Falls, Canada.
