04 Jan 11 - Welcome. Feel free to add any photos of CityRail's newest train. The Waratah Train. The Waratah train or "A set" is currently undergoing testing on the CityRail network and at this stage the first set is scheduled to enter revenue service in early 2011. A total of 626 carriages will be built to replace the ageing "S set" fleet and be in service by 2014.
Photos of the PPTV are also welcome as these cars will make up part of an 8 car consist once testing is completed.
