About City of Women
This is a group for street photography that spontaneously captures those moments when the city seems to be peopled only by women. Shots with just one or two women in isolation are fine, but not photos that pick out one or two women from a crowd that includes as many men as women. Having the odd stray man in the photo is not a big problem, but really we are looking for photos that give the impression of women occupying public space. Shots of organized groups of women are OK, but mostly we're interested in random and spontaneous gatherings of women. Also, although we count ourselves seekers of beauty, this isn't a group for those interested primarily in pictures of pretty girls, unless the pretty girls happen to randomly cross the street together.
Please tag your photos with "city of women".
We're trying to maintain a distinctive vision here, different from the many other groups devoted to either street photography or photos of women. So, with that in mind, the admins reserve the right to delete any photos that don't fit the pool. Also, we have an enforced posting limit of 1 photo per week.
