We elected the current members of the House of Commons to do a job: Govern our country by the Canadian principles of “Peace, Order, Good Government”.

Though the Prime Minister and his minority Conservative Party seem set to try to renege on the responsibility they ran and were elected for, we hope that the remaining members of Parliament will stand up and work together to do the job.

To the Bloc, Liberals, NDP and independent MPs, we ask you to come together to form a functioning government in the Conservatives’ stead. Building cooperation and consensus are hard work, but we believe our country is worth it, and that your work can bring us closer to the ideal of “Good Government”.

You have the power, opportunity, and responsibility to serve our country. Please fulfill the obligation you accepted when we elected you.

Our Collective Photo & Video Project:

This is a photo/video project that you can be a part of. Take a photo or short video of you, your family, friends, neighbours, colleagues and any other Canadians holding a page or sign with your message to our elected representatives. Messages like “Please do your job” or “I want the government we elected to serve”, etc.

Please post your pictures or video clips to this group. We’ll be compiling them into a video carrying the message that Canadians want our elected representatives to fulfil their responsibility to good government.

Please add a Creative Commons license to your photos (non-commercial is fine) so we can properly reuse them for this project. Barring that, please include permission for this project to use the photos in your photo/video description.
