About Central Illinois Railway
Photos of the Central Illinois Railway, which ran in Chicago with two switchers. The line was taken over by BNSF in mid-August 2010. The CIRY interchanged with the BNSF at Western Avenue Yard.
This group is for photos of the Central Illinois only, not BNSF operations on the lines. Photos of BNSF operations will be accepted on the BNSF racetrack group, as it's a spur off the racetrack. The BNSF Racetrack group can be found here. www.flickr.com/groups/bnsfracetrack/ That group also accepts photos of CIRY on the Lumber District ONLY!
This group will accept any photos of the CIRY Lumber District operations, as well as the Peoria operations they had as well.
