13 Apr 12 - Note: most straight 'church and bushes shots' do not make the final cut. Tombstones covered with lichen JUST make it but please try to be sparing. Lichen and flowers or lichen and insects are better.

Can I also remind members that, in the UK, bats are a protected species and should not be disturbed under any circumstances.

Cemetery and graveyard nature may be included as well as churchyard.

About Church and churchyard nature

Nature in churches and churchyards. Anything natural or of nature seen in or from a churchyard. If you are photographing in a churchyard and spot deer or hares in the field next door then that counts as well.

Many churchyards function as nature reserves, esepcially in the inner city areas. This group is a celebration of that.

I would prefer wildflowers, animals, insects, lichen, etc. Ivy entwined around a gravestone counts but let's be sparing with THAT cliché, OK? smiles

Cemeteries and graveyards may be included as many also have chapels or churches within them.
