What makes this group different?

This is not just a church photography group. This is a group for churchcrawlers - people who like visiting, photographing and discussing churches.

There are lots of church photo groups on flickr. We hope that this one will be a little different. Rather than just architectural mug shots, we hope that this group will be a collection of quirky details, interesting angles, and the occasional controversy.

We expect you to post your favourite pictures, or ones of particularly unusual, interesting or rare church-related things are most welcome. Remember, it doesn't have to be an actual picture of a church - an unusual angle, a detail or something unique to that building are the kinds of things that would be eagerly received. Let's stick to only posting our best images, please.

To save us all from dump-and-runners, and so that people who want to comment are not overwhelmed, we have set a limit of five pictures a day. Do please comment on other people's photographs in the pool.
