well my visit to the party was pretty strange
was accosted by the dude and his ?grandmother? as the boys were about to go down to the toilet
"this is a licenced premises - can I help you?"
"er yeah - I spoke to you the other day and you said come along..."
"you're part of the streetart group arent you..."
"aha"
"well you cant go down there because there are GIRLS in the toilet'
"ok - we'll wait"
"all the free beer is gone...."
so then dave gets pretty friendly and tells me they are having 6 fringe events - mainly arty poetry type things i think
so anyway i went to the bar and asked for a couple of pale ales and the chic asked me what i thought of the "renovation"
"we had to get rid of some of the dick and ball type graffiti"
"its ok i guess" i said
actually it felt pretty pretentious
lots of buff
plants
stages.....

the landlord sold us out to a higher bidder, and even though we were paying rent, he gave the whole top floor to some other woman. she's now turned it into a shit fringe venue. it looks like crap, and she's painted over 3/4 of the street art.
but don't worry, we'll get it back.. oh yes, we'll get it back..

yeah it was a pretty awesome street art space.. not sure what to do next..
we're looking for new spaces now though, so if you have any ideas or want to go in on a studio space when we find it, let me know. :)
