About 1982-1988 SUPER K - Chrysler LeBaron, Dodge 400/600, E Class
For the pleasure and preservation of all K- Body LeBarons, Dodge 400/600, E-Class, New Yorker, Limousine, Executive Sedans, Plymouth Caravelle from 1882-88. These and the rest of the K-based cars saved Chrysler Corporation and brought them out of bankruptcy in the early eighties, and helped them pay back their government loans three years early.
They were light, fuel efficient four cylinder cars with a bit more luxury built into them than your average economy car, during the period after the second oil embargo, when the auto industry was downsizing their fleets.
They also brought back the convertible body style back to the masses, not produced here since 1976. They sold them in amounts not seen since the early fifties, and has become one of the iconic cars of the eighties.
