About **Sing We Now of Christmas**
The group is about Christmas MUSIC
The idea is to post photos and discussions about the music of Christmas. My personal preference is Classical/Sacred, but I'm not going to limit the group.
Anything you have that reminds you of a Christmas hymn, carol, song, cantata, etc., is appropriate to post in the group. If you need some "reminders" (or a jumpstart) of all the Christmas songs that are out there, please click here.
If you want to make additions to the list, please add them to the discussion thread for that purpose and I'll update the List on the Blog.
The group rules are simple:
# 1 - Nothing will be accepted that is not absolutely "family friendly".
Photos will go into a queue to be moderated before being placed in the group pool and NOTHING that is not safe for the youngest child to see will be accepted . . . period. The judgment of the Admins is final in this regard.
# 2 - Anything that is posted that returns a message saying it falls outside my "Safe Search" filter, will not be accepted . . . period. if you have "adult" or questionable material in your photostream, please don't join us or try to post photos in this group.
# 3 - Nothing heavily edited (Photoshop, PSP, etc) will be accepted. If I make a decision you don't like, please talk to me about it in Flickrmail. I'll be happy to review any decisions I make.
# 4 - Submissions should show the title of the song (etc) that you are thinking about as you post the photo. Some might be more obvious than others. Let's make it as easy for others to enjoy as we can. We *might* run a special thread or two with a "guessing game" just for fun, but for posts to the group pool, your photo should have something in the description *or* in a tag naming the song.
Let's have some fun!!! I hope to get some codes working soon for inviting photos and commenting on submissions to the group. I know it's early - - - I'm able to enjoy the anticipation of the group so much more now than I will be able to enjoy it six weeks from now.
My philosophy about Christmas is that it is an "attitude" - not a day on a calendar page.
Welcome aboard!!!
Have fun!!!
