Is Christian Believes In Past Lives or Pre-mortal Life?
Rebekah Fuller Posted 17 years ago
Hey Johnny Boy.. no Christians don't believe in past lives or pre mortal life.

But we know that God designed each and everyone of us from the beginning of time. From the beginning he knew what each of us would be like, and we were already there in his mind.

Hi Johnny Boy - Rebekah is right - Christians do not believe in past lives nor a pre-mortal life. That idea is not Blblical - but I am not surprized that you are confuse because the Morman church teaches that we do.
aarond777 Posted 17 years ago
Amen. No past lives or pre mortal, not Biblical at all.

Johnnyboy, if its not mentioned in the Bible, it won't and shouldn't be mentioned in ANY other book. The Bible is Gods word, if He wanted us to know, He would state it somewhere in the Bible, since its not in there, don't believe it.

No, it is not biblical. Anyone can take a verse and distort any way they want, you need to research for yourself and ask God to show you the truth on your own. There are thousands and thousands of religions out there who distort the true word of God. Get a kjv Bible and read Isaiah 64:6, Hebrews 9:27, Romans 6:23! If you seek the truth you will find it. You must seek it from Him. You will not hear Him audibly, but you will know in your heart when He speaks to you.

1st Corinthians 14:33 KJV says God is not the author of confusion, but of peace

Joseph Smith taught that If We lack of wisdome than we need to ask of God just like the Apostle James said in the Bible...Do you think Joseph Smith is the righteous christian? He loves Jesus and Loves God too...
youngwarrior Posted 17 years ago
The key to whether a person loves God or not is not what they claim but what they do. Jesus said, "if you love me keep my commandments." John said, "if you say that you love him and don't keep his commandments you are a liar."

Many people claim to love and follow God. Few actually do. The Jews murdered the Son of God in the name of God; all the while claiming to be children of Abraham and God's chosen people. Jesus said if they were really children of Abraham they would do the works of Abraham but since they did the works of the devil (murder) they were his children.
green sneeze [deleted] Posted 17 years ago
But if the Jews did not killed Jesus who else would? No choice God expected them the Jews to kill Jesus and putted all the blame on the Jews? If the Jews did not destined to kill the jesus will we be saved ? Will jesus able to atone our sin if he did not die?
Shall we thanks to the Jews because they were helping the fullfillment of the prophecying of the death of the Jesus?
I have a Jew friend and he said the Jews did not kill Jesus but the Roman soldiers (caucasian) killed Jesus...
aarond777 Posted 17 years ago
No, when God says something, it happens, thats just how it is. When God speaks, things will come to pass. It was prophesied in the Old Testament that Jesus would come and die, the son of man, God himself in the flesh.

It was necessary then, just as it is necessary now that most Jews still reject that Jesus Christ was God. God has a plan for the Jews, He will use the Jews today in a way we can't imagine, all that happened and is happening is part of Gods master plan.

God has allowed things to happen, peoples minds to be fogged and blurred, new teachings to come into practice, etc., all to test and weed out those with little faith. Stay strong, trust God and His Word, believe, and live every second of your life to please Him!
quick acoustics [deleted] Posted 17 years ago
I think the real issue here, is you are seeking something FROM others and not HIM. If you really wanted to know, you would look for yourself and research on your own what God has to say.

Also remember...If God was small enough to be understood, then He would not be big enough to be worshipped. The Bible says we cannot know the mind of God.

Read 1st Corinthians 2:10-15(KJV)...Just read the whole chapter!

Jonny boy, I don’t know if you are a truly a confused Christian or if you are porously trying to plant the wrong seeds on this site. I think you have not yet been saved and that you are lacking the Holy Spirit. Please take the time to invite Christ into your heart so that you cant begin to receive the truth. Most every one in this group will be happy to pray for you. In the mean time I will block any more of these ridicules treads that you are posting.

Brother Mike,
I am not porousy trying to plant the wrong seeds on this site.I always asked many strange and hard questions to my former pastor (Hope of God Church) and Former shepherd (Hope of God Church) when I was still a regular visitor to my former church..
Do you know what they said to me? My ex pastor said have no time to entertain my silly questions and he said ask no more just believe...I told him was not the pastor just like a catholic priest that I saw on the television always free to listen any of people problems and questions,he added up that he was not a catholic priest and asked me to pray to the God and ask God for the answers.
But I told him that How come I able to receive answers by facing the wall alone while praying?
Some brothers in my ex church said I need to be sacked away from my former church because he judge me "having no faith in God".
He said I should not asked many questions ....that was before I met the new church.
In my new church I did always asking the missionary hard, freak questions and they answered all my questions and if they did not know they will honestly say that they did not know the answers and asking me to ask the bishop...some of my church friends even search the answers for me and e mail to me the answers.
You know? One day when I attended the Home Evening gathering I wore my former church T-shirt and my bishop and church friends saw it and they did not angry of me or think that I have bad intention trying to plant the wrong seeds in the their church...
The reason I am here because I want to get christian brothers and sisters view or answers! I will also ask the missionary if I meet them in my church...I think God wanted me to be here and ask you all questions...
I also did ask my former church and recent church brothers bout the Gospel of Juda,Gospel of Mary and many things that sounds ridicules.
Pastor Mike ,I am sorry if I have offended you! Please forgive me!

I am happy to hear that you are not trying to cause confusion. It would be a good idea for you to earnestly seek the gift of the Holy Spirit and receive a born again experience.

Hey Johnny Boy,

Asking the questions is not wrong in and of itself, but it is to WHOM you are asking the questions. Sure, there are pastors and mentors and all sorts of spiritual leaders who could answer your questions, but belief in Jesus Christ is a PERSONAL thing. That means YOU have to be the one to search the Bible (not The Watchtower or the Book of Mormon or Doctrines & Covenants, etc.) for the truth that God has for you and your life.

If you rely on others to tell you what is what, then you are leading yourself down the wrong road for sure! (The devil goes about like a lion seeking whom he may devour.) Be a Berean and search the scriptures (Old and New Testament = Bible) and the truth will set you free.

Very good advice Blessed.

...hence the nature of coming to the fullness of the knowledge of Christ... it's a calling.
green sneeze [deleted] Posted 17 years ago
A calling? I received a calling from my church to be a building representative...They said this calling is from God.God wants me to serve him in church! I am so happy because when I was in my former church they did not want me to have any post in church even i ask them...they rather choose someone that not willing to serve to have that position.my first ex shepherd was chosen by them and he never teaches me bible and never care of me! but right now in my new church always have priesthood meeting every sunday.
i remember when i was still a charismatic christian i told them that i want to join their church members meeting they said only the righteous can join not even a member! i think this is not fair! speech is freedome! they afraid i will say something that they do not like to hear in the meeting!
