What is acceptable for the group:
High quality photography of roosters, hens, and chicks.
Both B&W and color photography.
Vintage photography, and postcards.
Chicken paintings and artwork.
Chicken collectibles, decorations, and craft work.
Humans and other pets may be in the photos with the chickens.
*Post only pictures that were taken by yourself.

Not desired:
Dirty surroundings.
Unattractive backgrounds.
Many repetitive photos.
Photos with overly distracting wire fencing or cages, unless the wire adds to the photo's aesthetics.

Not acceptable:
No out of focus photos.
No bad indoor lighting or poor nighttime lighting.
No grainy photos.
No poor photo quality.
No purposeful cock fighting or fight promoting.
No animals being abused, hurt, or in unsafe situations.
No injured, sick, or dying animals.
No dead animals, chicken meat, or cooked chicken.
No nudity, porn, or bad language.
Only show eggs in their whole shell, not cracked or cooked.

Note:
Please do not be discouraged if you add a photo but it is deleted from the group.
There are a lot of nice "snapshots" of chickens, and those are to be cherished... but this group is for the "best of the best."
Admins will determine whether your photograph is of acceptable quality to be in the group pool. Their decision is final.
If your photo was deleted for any reason, do not repost it. Also, do not block the admins. Offenders are risking a ban.

Some of the collectibles the Chickens ROCK! group are looking for would be:
Chicken, rooster, chick, or egg teapots, cookie jars, cooking timers, water pitchers, vases, and kitchen items related to chickens. Pottery, porcelain, ceramics, stained glass and mosaics. Books, illustrations, logos, postcards, and paintings depicting chickens. Jewelry, and any handmade art or craft work. Felted or crochet work, quilts and fabric patterns, hats, purses, clothing and costumes of chickens. Vintage children's toys, stuffed toys, dog and cat toys, rubber chickens, and chenille chicks. Eggs, both natural, dyed, plastic, or pysanky decorated. Any chicken related Easter items. Also, cakes, cookies, chocolates, Peeps, and food portraying chickens, but not made from chicken meat. The sky is the limit!

Some of the photography Chickens ROCK! would like to see in the group are:
Artistic shots of chickens from all around the world. Gorgeous chickens, funny chickens, weird chickens, rare breeds, bantams, foreign photography. Beautiful head shots, macros of eyes, feathers, chicken feet, and Black and White photography. Show us your common backyard chickens, or something you don't always see in your backyard. Chickens surrounded by interesting objects, or beautiful backgrounds. Owners with their chickens and other pets with chickens. Parade floats, fiberglass chicken sculptures, neon chicken signs, statues, paintings on buildings, hot air balloons, rooster automobiles, and family appropriate tattoos and graffiti. Have fun with it!
