Chicago Model City, an exhibition presented by the Chicago Architecture Foundation, explores the decisions that shaped big cities. How does a metropolis as vast and complex as Chicago take shape? What are the goals of officials, real estate developers, corporations, and citizens who structure urban life? Chicago Model City tells the stories behind the planning of Chicago.

The centerpiece of Chicago Model City is a 320-square-foot model of downtown. Crowds visit the model every day to learn, have fun . . . and take pictures!
