About Chicago in Decay

Chicago is full of demolition sites, decaying tunnels, abandoned industrial zones, and forgotten places -- thus making it a great place to trawl for corroded metal, weathered wood, and crumbling bricks. Here's a place for Chicago residents (and visitors) to post photos that find the beauty in those things.

We request that you either geo-tag your photos or identify the general location (neighborhood or street) in your tags, title, or description.

Submit whatever you think fits. We're sometimes choosy about what we accept, but we enjoy looking at everything that comes in. Note that we prefer photos where the decay is the primary element, rather than an incidental or secondary element.
