About Cherry Hinton Hall

This old house towards the south-east of Cambridge is now under the ownership of Cambridge City Council, and is home to Cambridge International Preparatory School. Its extensive grounds make up one of the nicest parks in Cambridge, very popular with local families, dog-walkers (and photographers). It has large green spaces, a varied collection of trees, a formal garden area, playgrounds and a duck-pond.

During the summer, it is the venue for various cultural events, including the Cambridge Folk Festival (the UK's largest folk music gathering) and the Pink Festival (an annual gay pride-based event). Both of these events already have their own dedicated groups on flickr: Cambridge Folk Festival and Pink Festival.

We'd like this group to focus on the beauty of the park itself through the seasons, so any photos of the hall and grounds are more than welcome. Pictures from the festivals should be posted only in the groups mentioned above, unless the park is the main subject.
